Fleming Law, P.C., Proudly Launches 2019 Scholarship Program
Fleming Law, P.C., one of the Houston area’s leading personal injury lawyers, is now offering its 2019 Scholarship Program. The law firm will award a $1,000 scholarship to one aspiring student.
This is the second time that Fleming Law, P.C., will offer this scholarship program. Participants can submit an essay or video to enter the competition. The law firm invites students to compete and share their thoughts in order to compete for the scholarship award.
Through this program, Fleming Law, P.C., aims to generate discussion about distracted driving and the impact to our communities. The firm also wishes to support young people in their pursuit of a higher education. The firm understands that education is essential to success.
The contest winners will be selected based on the quality, originality and creativity of their content. The deadline for submitting entries is July 1, 2019.
Each winner will receive a check from the law firm of Fleming Law, P.C., made out to the school which they will attend. The winners can use the funds for their tuition and other expenses. The state, local and federal taxes applicable to the scholarships will be the responsibility of the scholarship recipients.
The law firm’s 2019 Scholarship Program is open to students who are residents of the United States and are:
- High school seniors or juniors,
- Enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year program at a college or university, or
- Enrolled in graduate school.
Participants younger than age 17 must have parental consent to enter the scholarship competition.
The topic of the video or essay must be about the student’s experience with smartphones and their impact on distracted driving. The essay must be 500 words or shorter, while the video must be two minutes or shorter. Plagiarism is not allowed and can lead to automatic disqualification.
To enter the 2019 Scholarship Program, students must submit their video or essay as well as:
- Cover sheet with the student’s name, phone number and address; the name and address of the school; a photograph of the student; and a short, two-to-three sentence bio of the student
- Signature of a parent or guardian if the participant is younger than age 17.
The essay or video must be submitted to ereiss@consultwebs-email.com. The law firm will notify the winners of the competition.
